Time Flies

Thu Feb 26, 2009, 3:34 PM
Time Flies ... wether you're having fun or NOT. I've been hampered with a rogue/virus on my laptop ... it has been eating away my time to work with my pictures with photoshop ... and it is really PISSING me off. I finally got rid of it and now my laptop randomly blows me away with the Blue Screen Of Death with the D1 error ... pointing to a bad or currupt driver ... which I think I got from a stinkin Microsoft Windows update! Now After meesing with it I can't see my DVD/CD device ... If only I could get my hands on the culprit!!!!

Enough of my problems ... I'm still working surfing pictures from Hawaii ... I'm glad I have several backups of all my stuff ... just got back from St. Louis ... went to the zoo ... and to my suprise ... the Siberean tiger had 5 little cubs ... and they were all kinda palyfull ... I only took my camera equipment ... so ihave alot of work to do ... I'll post as soon as I get some of them done.

Hope everyone is having a decent begining ofthe new year ... the economy is really bad and I hope you all are doing okay!

Be good ... and a prayer may help also!

Thank you for looking ... had a look at yours and they are very interesting ... do you carry your camera equipment where ever you go ... I do ... I hate missing a shot ... you can almost never regain that last moment!
Nice gallery yourself Steve. I notice you do quite a lot of surfing photos. I actually need to take some wave photos for a client, any advice you can give me for the perfect wave shot? ;)

It's all about perfection behind and in front of the lens, that's what I believe makes a good photograph.
The surfing photos were from the Thursday before the week of the Pipeline Masters. I haven't even goten to the competition photos yet. I don't get to shoot alot of surfing because I live in Altus Oklahoma ... no ocean ...no beach ... no waves ... but I did shoot over 1200 photos of the surfing on the North Shore of Oahu when I was there. The only advice I have is what I experienced in Hawaii and that is ... if you can ... get an angled perspective of the wave curl as it is comming at you ... looking into the curl ... a straight shot perpendicular to the wave just doesn't seem to give you the same effect.
Perspective into the barreling wave then, cheers mate :)
